This was our first home match of the year with Combe travelling to Jubilee Park.

On our newly marked out pitch, A big Thank you from the Under 7 squad goes to Mr Tony Grossi for helping to get the pitch marked out from scratch, this is not an easy task first thing on a Saturday morning with 3 new apprentices! Cheers Tony.

Match 1
Bloxham : 2 V Combe : 3
With both teams knowing what to expect from each other I anticipated this a closer encounter, which soon proved to be correct.
The game started pretty much how it finished from their match 2 weeks previous, hard, furious and fast. They obviously wanted to keep tabs on Quinton and kept him quiet during this game. Tsering Sherpa–Moore and Korben Haden must have had their Weetabix that morning as they tirelessly blocked out the attacks from Combe. James Leonard dropped to Left back, and helped to gain him confidence in trying to run down the left wing and get some tackles in. The Goal scorers were Quniton Blythe and George Compton-Alway

Match 2
Bloxham : 2 V Combe : 2
After the first game we then knew this was anybody’s match in the next game, there was nothing between them. From the off the game started with a fast pace end to end with drama’s, tough tackling, and 2 goals from Tsering Sherpa-Moore. Hayden & Quinton kept up the momentum with continuous runs towards the Combe goal.
Both teams young as they are produced some really excellent football .We saw good passing, link up play, heading, staying goal side, not all running in packs chasing the ball, and general good discipline alround. Former U7 coach Tony Grossi who helped to get this team up and running in the summer was stood watching the game and commented of how well the team had come on and the great tackles from both teams. Well Done Team! Good on you all!

I didn’t think anything would top the first match at Combe, until these 2 matches were played. The team played out of their skins; again the emphasis to all of them is to maintain team spirit and to have Fun! This was achieved. I and my Assistants Scott and Nick came away with so many positive notes.
I would also like to Thank the parents for showing their initiative by putting on some refreshments for the Supporters. The Combe Coach David also appreciated this.
