Bloxham play their first home game of the supplementary cup

Bloxham played witney vikings warriors on a gorgeous sunny sunday afternoon.
this was Bloxhams first match of their supplementary cup and were looking forward to the challenge that faces them in this competition.
Bloxham started well and got stuck in straight away and were unlucky not to have taken the lead when Dzuigas just went wide with an effort.
witney seemed to struggle with Bloxhams direct play and it was Thomas who got the witney defence panicking when his effort struck the post.
Bloxham didn't have it all there own way and witney had a couple of chances but sam was in fine form and made some good saves.
Eventually Bloxham got the break through when Hamish won a tackle and went round 2 players then hit it from 18 yards out the keeper got his hands to it but couldn't keep it out 1-0.
Bloxham were doing well until the last 5 mins of the first half when the Bloxham defence fell asleep when witney crossed the ball into the box and a witney player came round the back and knocked it in.1-1
Half time 1-1
second half Bloxham struggled to win the midfield battle and witney were starting to take control of the match.
with some good defending by Dan and Robert and Callum and with sam making some good saves Bloxham started to gain in confidence.
during the 2nd half Bloxham made some changes in midfield and started to a bit more physical which started to work as they started to take back control of the midfield and it was Hamish who ran at the witney midfield and laid it off to Thomas who struck it with his left foot only to watch his shot hit the post and go out.
Both teams had a couple more chances but they either missed or were saved in the end a draw was a fair result and Bloxham should feel pleased with themselves.

Review: started off well but lost there way during the second half but regained it and could have won the match near the end.

MOM: Dan Baldwin after the first half error was solid and they struggled to get past him and his confidence grew as the game went on.
