3 is the magic number

Bloxham opponents this week were chadlington away and with the weather being cold and windy Bloxham were prepared for the worst.
Bloxham started against the wind in the first half and were a little nerves to start off with.
Chadlington took advantage of the wind with some good attacking football but it was Bloxham who took the lead when ben picked up the ball and made a great pass to Dzuigas who ran onto the pass and knocked it into the right hand corner of the goal. 0-1
Even with bloxham taking the lead they seemed nerves and were afraid to push forward and chadlington piled on the pressure.
Bloxham struggled to get the ball out of there half and with no one putting in any good challenges Chadlington were starting to fined gaps in the Bloxham defence.
Chadligton finally got there break through with the ball being crossed into the box Bloxham failed to clear it and a chadlington player lobbed it into the far corner. 1-1
Bloxham regrouped and started to push forward but were struggling against the wind and chadlington were getting chances but sam was keeping them out and with robert,callam and ollie at the back Cadlington started to struggle to get passed the back 3.#
Bloxham started to gain confidence and it was nathan who with some good skill sent a through ball to dzuigas who ran at goal and calmly smashed it into the top right corner of the net. 1-2

second half

Bloxham had the wind behind them and dominated from the start of the second half with some really good football being played.
Chadlington just couldn't get past the bloxham defence and even though Bloxham had the wind behind them they didn't divert into playing the long ball they passed it along the ground and it was that kind of play which bloxham got there reward with robert passing to nathan who saw daniel who looked up and saw thomas making a run down the left wing and made a good pass to him.
thomas ran with the ball and crossed it into the box to Dzuigas who controlled it and scored.1-3
Bloxham just grew in confidence as the game went on and could have scored another 3 or 4 with Dzuigas hitting the cross bar with one of his efforts.
joe came for oli and made some good tackles and set up thomas when he won the ball at the back and made a pass to thomas who ran at goal,he looked up and saw the keeper off his line and hit it from about 25 yards and it flew over the keepers head and into the back of the net. 1-4
Bloxham saw the rest off the game out comfortable with the final score being 1-4.

review: Bloxham learnt a lot from the brackley game when they played them in the same conditions and took that experience into this game and even though they were a little nervous at the start they played the game as it should be played in them windy conditions.
they all stuck to there positions and worked as a team and got the result.
the two players that stood out for me was callum who played at the back who made some good tackles and never gave the ball away.
the second player was Dzuigas who has made this season his own,not only scoring a hat trick but also tracking back and making some tackles.
well done to both of you and well done to all the players and parents for the result and turning up in such windy conditions
