Draw would have been fair
Bloxham learn from first half
Bloxham traveled to horton view to play Banbury united.
The weather was good with the sun shining it was a good day for football.
Banbury Had kick off and started the strongest with chances coming early for them but max did well making some good saves.
Bloxham seemed to struggle and kept giving the ball away which helped banbury who eventually scored.
Bloxham made a few chances but it just wasn't there half as they struggled to control and pass the ball and again made it easy for banbury who scored a second.
Bloxham had a good team talk and changed a few things and it seemed to work.
The passing was better and the ball control was better but the best thing was the work rate and that helped Bloxham score their first goal when the ball fell to Ed who ran with the ball cut in at the byline and sneak it past the keeper and the near post.
That's how the rest the rest of the second half remained with Bloxham dominating and creating chances but just couldn't score.
Banbury created a couple of chances but Bloxham were in total control but it was to little to late.
A draw would have been a fair result.
final score 2-1
Review: in the first half Bloxham never turned up it was like they were still asleep ball control and passing was poor.
the shape and positioning of players was poor it was like they never played before but they sorted themselves out in the second half and were more like the Bloxham we are used to seeing and played some really good football and to be fair were unlucky not to score an equaliser and will give them confidence for there next fixture.
MOM:Alfie smith because when he was put in his usual position Banbury struggled to get through as they were pinned back with alfie dominating the midfield.
In the second match it was goals galore Bloxham started of brightly playing some really attractive football and it wasn't long till Bloxham took the lead when Alfie Prentice took the ball down the wing picked out Alfie smith who scored 0-1.
Bloxham switched off for a second and banbury equalised.
Bloxham were on the attack again within seconds when matt won the ball and fed a ball to Alfie smith who made it 1-2.
Alfie smith had a shot at goal but the ball rebound off a defender to Taylor who finished it calmly 1-3.
Again bloxham attacked and it was mat that finished it to make it 1-4.
The second half was like the first but crazier Banbury manged to pull one back 2-4.
Again Bloxham piled on the pressure and it was Alfie smith the applied the finish 2-5.
Bloxham felt in control and Alfie made another one of his amazing runs down the wing to cross it into the box were Alfie smith buried it 2-6.
for some reason Bloxham took there foot off the gas and banbury started to get chances and they scored 3-6 and the 4-6 and 5-6 suddenly the game seemed to take a different turn and Bloxham seemed to panic at the back and banbury made it 6-6 what a come back but to be fair Bloxham could have collapsed completely but they didn't they pulled themselves together and started to attack and were rewarded when matt passed to Ed who broke from the defence and scored 6-7 the within seconds Ed had scored another 6-8 and before banbury could settle Ed had a hattrick 6-9.
the referee looked at his watch and was about to blow but before he could Max L broke from midfield and slotted the ball past the keeper to make the final score 6-10.
Review: well what a game it had everything that a neutral fan could have wished for.
Bloxham played really well the passing the ball control the whole team display seemed to flow and deserved to be 6-2 up but the the self destruct button was pressed and we went back to how we were in the first match but again we calmed down and started playing again and keeping it simple and in the end were rewarded with a great win.
MOM:Well this is a difficult one as Mohammed pulled off some great saves and issie was great at the back making some good strong tackles but the player i pick is Ed because his hat trick gave us some breathing space and when he got the ball he was always looking to go forward.
