Bloxham were at home on a sunny saturday morning their opponents were Banbury united youth.
Bloxham kicked off and were passing it well to each other.
Both teams were playing well and were creating chances at both ends it was just down to who would score first and unfortunately for Bloxham it was banbury who scored first when Bloxham switched off for a throw in and left a player unmarked which gave the banbury player to control the ball and hit it past the keeper 0-1.
Bloxham kept on going and could have scored before halftime only for the keeper to make a good save.
second half was much like the first with both teams playing some good football.
Bloxham were getting there tackles in and were creating chances and Banbury were doing the same.
who ever scored the next goal would go on and win the match and like the first half it was banbury who scored when the Bloxham defence backed off and backed off which opened up for the banbury forward to hit it from 5 yards out and score 0-2.
Bloxham really tried to get back in the game and to be honest the last 6 mins belonged to Bloxham as they piled on the pressure won corners and throw ins but just couldn't find the back of the net.
final score 0-2.
MOM:Kaijus who again was solid at the back made some good passes and some good runs and never seemed out of his depth.
Review: Bloxham played well midfield was strong and defensively Bloxham were good but it was in the attacking third that it just didn't seem to click as players weren't sticking to their positions if they were playing as a striker and taking to many touches before they took a shot but apart from that Bloxham played really well and can be pleased with their over all performance.
After the first match Bloxham wanted to put the record straight but it wasn't a good start as Bloxham conceded a goal within 20 seconds when they gave the ball away cheaply and banbury did a long ball to their forward who finished it well 0-1.
To be fair Bloxham stayed positive and were rewarded when Riley made a pass to Ed who took it past a defender and lobed the keeper 1-1.
Bloxham were creating chances but just couldn't put the ball in the net with shots going wide.
Bloxham were more in control during the first half but to be fair should have gone in at half time winning.
second half really opened up as both teams were attacking and it was Bloxham that took the lead when Alfie John ran down the right wing and crossed the ball into the box for Kaijus to side foot volley it past the keeper.
Both teams were really getting stuck in and it was banbury who scored the next goal to make it 2-2.
The game was close with both teams creating chances but it was banbury who were creating the better chances.
Banbury had a few 1v1 but James was solid in goal and was really brave to come off his line and dive on the ball.
Eventually banbury put one of their chances away to make it 2-3.
Bloxham did not panic and kept on playing their style of football and they started to get control back having a few chances of their own.
Time was running out and Bloxham made one last push which lead to a corner Ryan stepped up and crossed it in Kaijus reacted first and scored 3-3.
Final score 3-3
MOM: Kaijus very rare that a player gets mom for first and second match but his performance up front was solid and and both goals that he scored were good finishes especially his first.
Review: Bloxham played well and deserved the draw and maybe the win the only thing that let them down in this match was not closing down quicker enough but apart from that every one played well and they were 2 good entertaining matches.
