Bloxham win ugly

Both teams played well.

Bloxham played at home this weekend against middleton cheney and after playing them last weekend knew it was going to be a though match.
Bloxham won the toss and kicked off.
Straight away Bloxham were on the attack with a chance whistling past the post.
The Tackling was good and getting back but the passing was a bit off which made it easier for middleton to get the ball.
Both teams battled well but both teams couldn't seem to string a pass together that was until Bloxham made the move of the game when Ellis passed to Alfie John who passed to Kaijus who picked out Taylor whose shot was saved.
That move gave Bloxham confidence and it made Bloxham push Forward which lead to Middleton just clearing it for a throw in.
Ryan took the throw in which went to kaijus who turned and thundered it past the keeper 1-0.
Bloxham kept on pressing but switched off at the back when middleton made a counter attack and won a corner after max saved their effort.
Middleton took the corner Bloxham tried to clear it but it fell to a middleton player who took a shot and scored 1-1.

second half.
Bloxham struggled a bit in the second half as middleton piled on the pressure playing 2 up top Bloxham couldn't seem to get the ball out of their area.
James made some good saves to keep middleton out.
After about 8 mins Bloxham started to get to grips with the game and had a couple of efforts go high and wide.
As the game continued both teams were really making there tackles count and cancelling each other out.
It was Bloxham who managed to Break out of the half when Alfie John made a great solo run down the right wing and crossed it were Matthew was waiting who volleyed it right footed into the top left hand corner what a finish and definitely contender for goal of the season.
After scoring that goal the wind was blown out of Middleton sails and Bloxham went on to see out the last 2 mins of the match quite comfortably.
full time 2-1

MOM:James made some good saves and kept middleton at bay which then lead to Bloxham scoring a winner.
Well done.

Review: Bloxham Had to win ugly today by winning there tackles which they did and work hard.
There passing let them down in this match but there never give up attitude was good and it paid off in the end.

second match:
Bloxham kicked off the second match and knew what to expect and knew what was expected of them.
and they were better there passing was better and the closing down was good which middleton struggled with.
Bloxham were playing with a little spring in their step and you could see the confidence in the team.
The passing was good and more like the Bloxham we know and it was that passing which led to the first goal when Matthews good work passed the ball to Ellis who went past a player and struck the ball cleanly as it whistled past the keeper from about 20 yards out 1-0.
Bloxham had the bit between their teeth and were closing the opposition down well and with the pressure being applied it made middleton make mistakes which lead to Taylor being fouled just outside the box.
Taylor stood up and took the free kick which the keeper struggled to keep out 2-0.
Bloxham were in control and it was Alfie John who burst free down the right wing and crossed it only to see the opposition defender turn it into his own net 3-0.
Bloxham continued to press forward and saw the rest of the game out quiet comfortably.
full time 3-0

MOM:Kaijus was solid at the back winning all his tackles and making some intelligent passes down the wing.

Review:Bloxham played much better in the second match closing down was better the passing was better everybody played well.
if they keep working hard in training and matches we should finish the season well.
