Bloxham show discipline

Bloxham travelled to morton on a cold and windy Saturday morning.
The players knew they needed to win this to have any chance of finishing runners up in the league.
Bloxham played against the wind in the first half and with in 5mins Alfie prentice took a shot from 20 yards out to watch his shot curl away from the keeper and nestle into the back of the net 0-1.
After a good start bloxham grew with confidence as moreton piled on the pressure.
With the wind behind them moreton were playing the long ball but Bloxham dealt with it easily and it was Ryan who broke down the left and manged to set up max leonard with a ground pass which let max run onto and score 0-2.
Bloxham could of scored a couple more but the keeper did well to save them.
In the secone half Bloxham set themselves up to control the game and with the wind behind them moreton couldn't seem to get into the Bloxham half.
Bloxham dominated the second half and it was tyler maskell who from 15 yards out curled and lovely right footed shot which left the keeper motionless as the ball went into the top left hand corner to make it 0-3.
Bloxham knew they were in control and started to control the game really well they knew they didn't have to chase the game so concentrated on keeping there shape and seeing the game out.
Fulltime:0-3

Review:Bloxham were really good they were well disciplined and didn't go gun ho when they went 3 nil up.
They controlled the game and kept there shape well which made it hard for moreton to cause any problems.
The display they showed was there best performance so far this season.

MOM: this was a tricky choice as everyone played well but there were 2 players that stood out for me.
Ryan played well and made some created runs down the left wing which set up the second goal.
Alfie smith was solid in midfield in the second half he sat just in front of the back 3 and picked up all the loose balls and also was well disciplined not to bomb forward.
Well done to the both of you and the team as a whole.
