Bloxham play there first home game of the season

Bloxham played there first home game of the season and the team they entertained was Banbury united spencer.
the skys were grey and the rain was none stop but the game went ahead.
bloxham were struggling for the first 10mins with Banbury putting all the pressure in Bloxhams half but bloxham held out and got the break with Hamish making a great pass from midfield to Ben fisher who was on the right wing.
Ben broke away down the wing the Banbury defenders couldn't keep up with his pace and he took a shot at goal and scored.
Banbury pushed forward and were unlucky not to equalize when they shot from distance and hit the post.
It wasn't long till they did and scored from close range 1-1.
Bloxham tried to push forward but couldn't get the ball under control and were punished with some sloppy defending and Banbury took the lead 1-2.
Banbury second goal woke bloxham up a bit and started to take control and were rewarded with a another great bit of play by ben fisher who ran down the enig cut in a shot at goal and scored.
Half time 2-2.
Bloxham took control of the second half but couldn't get anything for there pressure and Banbury scored against the run of play 2-3.
from then on it was a game of who can make the most mistakes and get punished for it as the Banbury keeper missed kicked the ball and went straight to ben who kindly put it past the keeper 3-3.
Banbury started to attack and won a corner and the bloxham defence were all over the place has Banbury won the header from the corner and scored 3-4.
the cold and rain started to take its toll on bloxham and with some more sloppy defending conceded another goal 3-5.
To be fair to bloxham the last 6 mins bloxham putt a lot of pressure on Banbury and with a nice pass by charlie to Nathan who then hit it from about 13 yards and scored great finish.
As Banbury took center the ref blew for full time final score 4-5.
Going forward bloxham were a handful and with ben getting his first hatrick bloxham should have won this game but defensively they were poor but would have learnt a few lessons.
