Bloxham played at home after games was reversed

Bloxham played Banbury united at home on a very cold morning.
the game kicked off on time and bloxham got straight into Banbury pressing from the start and they were rewarded 3mins into the game when some great individual play by Donnal get past 2 players down the wing and cutting in to shoot and scoring 0-1.
Banbury took centre and as soon as they passed it Bloxham were straight on them winning the tackles and making some good runs and doing a few passes it was good to watch.
when Banbury did get a chance to attack bloxham goal alfie john was there wining every tackle with determination and eagerness and if they did mange to get through max was straight off his line to save the ball.
Defensively bloxham were solid and with some great attacking Bloxham found themselves 0-2 as again Donnal ran past a defender and scored.
just before half time Alfie john scored a great goal when he won a tackle and ran at the Banbury defence who couldn't cope with his pace and smashed it into the goal 0-3
second half
The second half was much like the first with Bloxham closing down and chasing every thing but the only different was Bloxham couldn't put there chances away and eventually Banbury managed to break free and were rewarded with a goal 1-3.
full time 1-3.

in the second match both teams decided to play 7v7 so all the kids got a good run out and weren't stood there getting cold.
and Banbury started off the better sided with some good attacking they scored with in 2mins 1-0.
Bloxham were struggling with the format as they had not played 7v7 before and were not quite sure what they were supposed to do and just before half time Banbury scored again 2-0.
At half time the bloxham players had a team talk and started the second half much better and basically were camped in banburys half and the pressure was rewarded when kajus broke down the wing and scored with a shot into the corner 2-1.
The Banbury keeper made some good saves but Bloxham were pushing forward and with a good pass by ryan who found riley jakeman who was in space took a shot and scored 2-2.
Banbury managed to get out of there half but the Bloxham defence was stronger in the second half and both team cancelled each other out and in the end 2-2 was a fair result to both teams.
Well done to all the kids that braved the cold to play football you all played well and of course to the parents who kept on cheering and clapping right to the end.
