The Warriner School's netball court development proposal

Bloxham FC are delighted to be supporting the multi-sports proposal put forward by The Warriner School, to develop the old netball court into a new multi sports facility. As well as being of huge importance to the students this new facility will be of great benefit to other sporting clubs in the community, such as Bloxham FC, as it will provide us with an outdoor Winter training facility that is so greatly needed.

"We are planning to transform our old netball court into a new multi-sports facility, which will not only benefit our students, but will create an important asset for our local community.

Our planning application for floodlights to maximise community usage was approved in June. We have successfully secured £60,000 of Section 106 funding and a generous donation of £6,000 from Banbury Charities, which will enable us to create a fantastic facility on the existing site.

Furthermore, we will submit a Sport England bid in January to see if we can double the size of the existing area to create two additional netball/tennis courts and a junior sized football pitch – a £180k project in total.

The Multi-sports facility will be surfaced in a Sport England grade sand-dressed artificial grass, allowing a range of sports to be played all year around. We will be able to let you know the outcome of our Sport England bid April 2016."
